  • SET in COA’s List of Outstanding Government Accounting Offices in the Philippines

    badge In recognition of the quality, timeliness and accuracy of the Senate Electoral Tribunal’s FY 2013 Financial Reports, the Commission On Audit (COA) declared SET as one of the Outstanding Government Accounting Offices for 2014. The awarding rites took place at the Opening Ceremonies of the Association of Government Accountants of the Philippines (AGAP), Inc. Convention – Seminar held at the CAP-John Hay Trade and Cultural Center, Baguio City, on October 21 – 24, 2014. Ms. Angelina L. Gabat, SET Accounting Service Officer-in-Charge, and Mr. Jose Narico M. Catindig, SLSO II of Accounting Service, who participated in the convention-seminar, received the plaque of recognition in behalf of the Senate Electoral Tribunal (SET). Marco of the SET Human Resources Management Service presented to the Honorable Senior Associate Justice Antonio T. Carpio, Chairperson of the Tribunal, the Certificate of Accreditation (Level II – Accredited Status) given by the Civil Service Commission (CSC) to the Senate Electoral Tribunal. They were joined by the SET HRMS Staff, namely: Ma. Geraldina R. Kapunan, Bernadette O. Medina, Reynaldo A. Luzada, Ronnie P. Aboy and Orland F. Pajimola.     badge The Senate Electoral Tribunal awarded the Administrative Commendation for Attendance for CY 2013 to POMPEYO S. LUAGUE, Legislative Staff Assistant III. Mr. Luague received a Plaque of Commendation and Cash Gift from the Honorable Chairperson of the Tribunal, Senior Associate Justice Antonio T. Carpio, in a simple awarding ceremony held at the Supreme Court on September 18, 2014. The SET Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (PRAISE) Committee selected Mr. Luague as the recipient of the admnistrative commendation for attendance for CY 2013 after reviewing the 2013 attendance records of all Secretariat personnel and finding Mr. Luague to have clocked in a perfect attendance for CY 2013. Such adherence to Tribunal office rules was considered worth emulating and was accordingly cited as a meritorious contribution to the strengthening of discipline in the organization.   [...]

      The Senate Electoral Tribunal was awarded by the Civil Service Commission (CSC) with Level II PRIME-HRM Agency Status, in recognition of its “innovations, enhancements or remarkable development in HR (Human Resource) management program and system” (CSC MC#3, s. 2012).   The Secretary of the Tribunal, Atty.   • SET Chosen by COA as One of this Year’s Outstanding Accounting Offices

    IMG_00000794 In recognition of the quality, timeliness and accuracy of its FY 2012 Financial Reports, the Senate Electoral Tribunal was chosen by the Commission on Audit as one of this year’s Outstanding Accounting Offices. Awarding Rites was held during the opening ceremonies of the Association of Government Accountants of the Philippines (AGAP), Inc. Convention Seminar at the L’Fisher Hotel, Bacolod City from October 14-17, 2013 . Ms. Angelina L. Gabat, Officer-in-Charge of Accounting Service and Ms. Eliza V. Amparo, SLSO II of Finance and Budget Service participated in this Convention-Seminar and received the plaque of recognition in behalf of the Tribunal. The theme of this year’s convention is “Asensong Ramdam ni Juan: The Challenge Financial Managers Must Face”. It addressed the goal of all inclusive growth within the context of the duties of finance practitioners  to the government.


  • The Tribunal Declares Aquilino L. Pimentel as the 12th Duly Elected Senator During the 2007 Elections

    Aquilino Martin Pimentel Following the 03 August 2011 resignation of Juan Miguel F. Zubiri and the Manifestation and Motion filed by his counsel on 04 August 2011 praying that the said resignation be considered as a voluntary withdrawal and/or abandonment of his counter-protest, the Tribunal, on 11 August 2011, declared Aquilino L. Pimentel III as the 12th duly elected Senator of the Philippines during the 14 May 2007 National and Local Elections. Having examined and appreciated a total of 384,680 ballots as well as the Election Returns (ER) from Pimentel's protested precincts, and corrected the manifest errors in the Statement of Votes (SOV), the Tribunal disclosed that Pimentel obtained 258,166 more votes than Zubiri in the contested senatorial race.   • Turn-over of 201 Files to Resigned/Retired/Separated Employees of the Senate Electoral Tribunal

    SET 201 FIles The Senate Electoral Tribunal shall turn-over the 201 files of its employees who resigned/retired/have been separated from government service in compliance with Civil Service Commission Memorandum Circular No. 8, series of 2007 (Management of 201 Files) and Memorandum Circular No. 1, series of 2011 (Addendum to CSC MC 8, s. 2007 on Management of 201 Files). Upon submission of an accomplished Request of Records Form (Form 3), the 201 Files shall be released to anyone of the following: (1) the owner of the 201 file upon presentation of a valid Identification Card (ID); (2) a duly authorized representative upon presentation of a valid ID of the owner, authorization letter and his/her own valid ID; or (3) if the owner of the 201 file is deceased, a relative upon presentation of proof of relationship to the deceased and his/her own ID.
